The people

Glass Obelisk is owned and directed by a team of three.

Andrew
This blog is predominantly written by Andrew Barnes, who has received numerous state and national awards for website design, academic excellence and volunteer service. Andrew enjoys playing soccer (football for the rest of the world) and spends most Friday nights playing with GO staff and friends in an indoor soccer competition. The GO team doesn’t alwayslose. A young economist and business man, Andrew has a passion for technology and particularly the internet. He has been developing commercial web sites for many years, having started during high school.

Vu
Another writer at GO Blog, Vu is a savvy entrepreneur who is also studying medicine at university. Vu has had extensive experience in managing businesses both online and in a more traditional environment. He has helped develop and manage a web business providing websites and hosting for the medical industry through the dot com boom and now handles the day to day business of Glass Obelisk.

Matt
Our resident code guru, Matthew seldom yet finds the chance to write posts for this site. He has, however, managed to write the most popular post on the site thus far with his quick and easy random string generator in PHP. He has also won several web development awards and is the proud development leader for Glass Obelisk’s custom CMS, Iris. Matt’s exceptionally clever wit is sadly lost on almost everyone else.

The business

The GO in GO Blog stands for ‘Glass Obelisk’. Glass Obelisk is an online web-hosting and web-development company dedicated to providing affordable high-quality services and products. Our goal is to bring every organization and business, whether it be large or small, online and into the twenty-first century, providing them with a high-quality website, without the high costs. Based in Brisbane, we work with companies and individuals right across Australia.

So what’s GO Blog?
That’s a good question! GO Blog is an online commentary we provide on web design, hosting, business, life, the universe and everything. We intentionally want it to remain semi-casual whilst providing some insight and light into the often confusing online world.

Do you have another website?
In fact we do. Several. We are always hard at work thinking of new ways to innovate and create in new and benificial ways so we like to always be developing something.

Glass Obelisk manages, runs and owns a larger variety of sites but these are the ones central to the business at the moment.

How can I get in contact with you?
We’d suggest sending us an email or giving us a call. Details are available on our website’s contact page.
